6/28/1608        Borelli Giovanni         physiologist, he died in 1679 at age 71.

6/28/1824        Broca Paul                  anthropologist, known for his research on the frontal lobe called Broca’s area, he died in 1880 at the age of 56.

6/28/1873        Carrel Alexis              physician, he died in 1944 at the age of 81.

6/28/1906        Goeppert-Meyer, Marie,      physicist, she proposed the nuclear shell model of the atomic nucleus.  She said that certain numbers of nucleons called magic numbers make an atom extremely stable.  (2, 18, 20, 28, 50, 82, 126) she died in 1972 at the age of 66.

6/28/1912        Weizsacker Carl         astronomer, he died in 2007 at the age of 95.
