Today is the birthday of Robert Remak, born in 1815, he is responsible for the three germ layer tissue theory: endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm. He also discovered unmyelinated nerve fibers in the heart called Remak’s ganglia, he discovered that the origin of cells in by cell division of preexisting cells.

Today is also the birthday of Paul Walden, born in 1863, he invented the walden inversion in stereochemistry, he died in 1957 at age 93.

Carl Jung was born in 1875, he was a psychiatrist who founded analytical psychology, he proposed the concept of introverted and extroverted personalities.
