One way to make your life happy is picking out a new puppy and preparing to bring it home. Do some preparation for the new arrival to make life easier in the long run. Maybe schedule a day or two off of work so the puppy won’t be left alone. I spent the first night sleeping on the floor with mine, just to minimize the separation from the mom. Plan on taking the dog out to pee at least every 30 minutes for the first few nights. Do this and the dog will be housebroken in no time at all. If you are one of those people who stick the dogs nose in a pee spot or poop spot, try sticking your own nose in it instead, because it is your fault. Remember the #1 rule in dog training, no punishment. Everything should be positive reinforcement.
