Science Birthdays, September 28

Today is the birthday Ferdinand Moissan, born in 1852, he received the 1906 Nobel Prize in chemistry for isolating fluorine from its compounds. This is the element used in toothpastes, some places put it in drinking water to prevent tooth decay and it is used in Teflon just to name a few uses.
