1978    Northeastern United States Blizzard of 1978. This was one of the worse Nor’easters in New England, with sustained winds and 4” of snow per hour.

2012    A 6.9 magnitude earthquake hits near the central Philippines off the coast of Negros Island causing at least 51 deaths.

2013    An 8.0 magnitude earthquake hits the Solomon Islands killing 10 people.

2016    A 6.4 magnitude earthquake hits southern Taiwan killing at least 38 people.
