1960    Eastern Massachusetts greatest snowstorm on record with 27.2 inches of new snow in a 24 hour period and 70 mph wind gusts.

1962    A tremendous storm struck the Atlantic coast. With winds up to 70 mph and 40 foot waves.

1989    An F2 tornado killed one person in Heard County, Georgia and an F3 tornado injured 23 in Grantsville, Georgia.
