4/14/1629        Christian Huygens      physicist and astronomer, invented the pendulum clock (horologist), he said light was composed of waves, discovered the law of collision of bodies, and centrifugal force, he is considered the first theoretical physicist, he believed in extraterrestrial life and was one of the first science fiction writers, he was friends with Rene Descartes, he died in 1695 at age 66.
