5/14/1686        Gabriel Fahrenheit,      physicist,   determined the Fahrenheit temperature scale; he died in 1736 at age 50.

5/14/1872        Makhail Tsvett,            biologist,          coined the term chromatography, his name means color in Russian, the technique was later reintroduced by Willstatter, Makhail Tsvett died in 1919 at age 47.

5/14/1925        Yuval Ne’eman,           physicist,          grouped baryons into families; he died in 2006 at age 80.
