5/20/1537        Hieronymus Fabricius,  physician, father of embryology, he died in 1619 at age 82.

5/20/1825        George Bond,              astronomer, took the first photograph of a star (Vega) and of a double star (Mizar), he died in 1865 at age 39.

5/20/1851        Emile Berlinger,           inventor,           discovered the flat phonograph record, developed one of the first helicopters, he died in 1929 at age 78.

5/20/1860        Eduard Buchner,          chemist and zymologist, Nobel prize in 1907 for his work on fermentation,             studied under Baeyer, Know for the Mannich reaction, a nucleophilic addition of an amine to a carbonyl group, died in 1917 at age 57 in the trenches in WWI, the Buchner funnel was invented by Ernst Buchner.
