Science Birthdays, June 8

Today is the birthday of Francis Crick, born in 1916, he was one of the “two” co-discoverers of DNA in 1953, he was the first to use the term “central dogma”.

Giovanni Cassini, astronomer, born in 1625, was the first to observe Saturn’s moons, observed the great red spot on Jupiter and was first to notice differential rotation of Jupiter, he died in 1712 at age 87.
