He built an observatory and discovered Triton, the largest moon of Neptune. He also co-discovered Hyperion, a moon of Saturn and Ariel and Umbriel, moons of Uranus. He died in 1880 at the age of 81.
6/18/1926 Allen Sandage, astronomer, he determined the first reasonable accurate value for the Hubble constant and the age of the universe. He died in 2010 at the age of 84.
