7/2/1884 Maria Jakob Alfons neurologist, first recognized and described Alper’s disease, he died in 1931 at age 47.
7/2/1906 Hans Beth physicist, head of the theoretical division at Los Alamos that developed the first atomic bomb, Nobel prize for his work on nucleosynthesis, he died in 2005 at age 98.
7/2/1914 Mario Schenberg, nuclear processes in supernovas, he died in 1990 at age 84.
7/2/1946 Richard Axel, cloned olfactory receptors.
