1904 Chappaqua Tornado, 2 people killed
1963 An earthquake in Skopje, Yugoslavia leaves 1,100 dead.
1979 An F3 tornado struck Cheyenne, Wyoming causing one death. It was the most destructive tornado in Wyoming history.

F3 Tornadoes are characterized by severe damage with estimated wind speeds between 158 and 206 mph or 254 to 332 km/hr. They will blow roofs off of well-constructed houses and can even overturn railroad trains.
