Today is the birthday of Phillip Lenard, born in 1862. A physicist, he is known for his work on cathode rays, but he was an active proponent of Nazi ideology.  He died at the age of 84 in 1947.  He received the Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on cathode rays.

Ham Radio

Okay, all my ham radio friends. Did you check out my blog today? Today is the birthday of Karl Braun, just in case you don’t know it but he invented the “cat whisker” diode. He built the first cathode ray tube and oscilloscope. He is a huge name in radio technology.

Ham Radio Course

I am thinking of putting together an on-line ham radio course on this blog.  Is there any interest?  I would begin with a Technician level course then follow that up with a General and Extra class.  The class would be free and we could interact with questions on this blog.  You would have to take the test at one of your local amateur radio clubs.
